Sechem Pop-Corn a profité du beau temps pour faire sa première promenade dans la forêt à côté de chez nous. Il a beaucoup apprécié ce nouvel environnement plein de bonnes odeurs. Il semblait même très tenté pour grimper à un arbre, un très grand arbre; heureusement il a changé d’avis.
Sechem Pop-Corn enjoyed the nice weather to have his first walk in the wood near home. He appreciated this new environment with good odors. It seems that he was tempted to climb a big tree, a very big tree ; hopefully he changed his mind.
Notre tribu féline n’inclut pas que des Maus Egyptiens. Pour commencer, Pivoine, ma reine-mère, mon premier chat, bientôt 15 ans, elle vit à son rythme tranquillement. Au cours des années, des chats errants nous ont rejoint. En 2016, nous avons accueilli la douce et sociable Mystère accompagnée de sa fille Night plus indépendante que sa maman elle est néanmoins très attachante. Elles ont été suivies par Pitchoune un lundi matin de Septembre 2020; espiègle et joueuse elle ne se laisse approcher que par nous, elle est aussi une redoutable chasseuse. Dernier arrivé et aussi notre seul chat poils longs, Scratchou, aussi beau que gentil, un vrai nounours qui adore les câlins. Comme voue pouvez le constater, tous ont des personnalités différentes et nous les adorons.
Our feline clan does not only include Egyptian Mau. To start, Pivoine, my queen mother, my first cat, soon 15 years old, she lives quietly. Over the years, some stray cats join us. In 2016, we welcomed the sweet and sociable Mystère, she came with her daughter Night who is more independant than her mother but so engaging. A monday morning in September 2020 Pitchoune arrived on our doormat; mischevious and playful she only let us come near and hug her, she is also a formidable hunter. Last to come and the only one long hair cat, Scratch is as beautiful as gentle, a real teddy bear, he loves to be cuddled. As you can see, all have different personnalities and we love them so much.
Nés en Mars 2022, Tacita, Thuoris, Too Much et Teddy Bear sont nos 4 grands chatons restés à la maison faute de leur avoir trouvé des adoptants sérieux. 4 chats de plus on pourrait penser cela fait beaucoup mais finalement la vie de la maison n’a pas été si bouleversée. Nos 4 boules d’Amour s’entendent à merveille avec les adultes et ils ont tous des personnalités différentes :
- Tacita on aurait pu l’appeler Sparadrap, elle n’hésite pas à grimper sur nous pour faire des câlins;
- Thuoris la toute ronde mais si joueuse, les câlins pour elle c’est le soir devant la télé;
- Too Much, sa passion : l’eau, elle nous rejoint régulièrement sous la douche;
- Teddy Bear toujours collé aux tétines de maman Cleopatra, très expressif quand il s’agit d’obtenir une friandise.
Born in March 2022, Tacita, Thuoris, Too Much and Teddy Bear, our 4 big kitten were kept at home as we could not find them reliable adopters. 4 more cats, one can think that it is a lot but finally the life of the home was not so changed. Our 4 love get along nicely with the adults and have different personality :
- Tacita : we should have named her « Plaster » , she does not hesitate to climb on our shoulders to have some cuddles
- Thuoris has some roudness but so playful, the cuddles are in the evening when we watch the TV
- Too Much , her hobby : the water, she regularly joins us in the shower
- Teddy Bear always sticked to the nipples of mum Cleopatra, so expressive when he wants a treat.
Le 07 Mars 2022 n’a pas été un jour comme les autres à la chatterie Sechem. Ce jour là nous avons eu le grand bonheur de voir naitre 2 portées : 4 Mau Egyptien de couleur silver et 5 Mau Egyptien de couleur bronze. Les 9 chatons ont été élevés par leurs 2 mamans Osiris Band Cleopatra et Sechem Physalis. Un très Joyeux Anniversaire à Iris, Thalia, Tacita et Thuoris (les silvers) et Topaze, Twilight, Taïga, Too Much et Teddy Bear (les bronzes) !
The 07th of March 2022 was not a typical day at the Sechem cattery. This day, we had the great happiness to have 2 litters : 4 silver Egyptian Mau and 5 bronze Egyptian Mau. Both 9 kitten were raised by their 2 mums Osiris band Cleopatra and Sechem Physalis. Happy Birthday to Iris, Thalia, Tacita and Thuoris (the silvers) and Topaze, Twilight, Taïga, Too Much andTeddy Bear (the bronzes) !

Nous voici de retour de l’exposition de Beuvry, une exposition conviviale et très bien organisée par le Cat Club de Paris et des Provinces Françaises que nous remercions. Les juges ont apprécié de voir des Maus Egyptiens de la couleur bronze, Pop-Corn tout particulièrement a fait sensation avec son gabarit, son type, son spotting et sa couleur. Côté résultats notre Rocky (AstartesMau Rockefeller) a obtenu ses 2 premiers CACIB, (Sechem) Pop-Corn a eu 2 CAGCIB et, cerise sur le gâteau, il a été nominé au Best in Show les 2 jours. Nous sommes fiers de nos 2 garçons qui se sont bien comportés en jugement et qui ont amusé le public avec leur bel entente. Prochaine exposition : Pontorson au pied du Mont Saint Michel !
We are back from Beuvry, a friendly cat show well organized by the Cat Club de Paris et des Provinces Françaises, many thanks to them. The judges appreciated to see Egyptian Maus in bronze colour, Pop-Corn especially impressed with his size, type, spotting and colour. Regarding the results, our Rocky (AstartesMau Rockefeller) obtained his 2 first CACIB, (Sechem) Pop-Corn had 2 CAGCIB and, the icing on the cake, he was nominated to the Best in show on both days. We are very proud of our 2 boys who behave well during the judgements and amused the public with their good relationship. Next cat show : Pontorson near the Mont Saint Michel !
