Cela fait 1 an que j’ai intégré le Bureau du Cat Club du Grand Ouest (CCGO). Le CCGO est un cat club généraliste crée en 2020 et dépendant de la FFF (Fédération Féline Française), la FFF étant le représentant national et également membre fondateur de la FIFE (Fédération Internationale Féline). Le but d’un cat club est en particulier d’organiser des expositions félines, l’occasion de passer de l’autre côté du miroir en tant qu’organisateur et plus seulement qu’en tant qu’exposant. Et c’est du travail d’organiser une exposition ! Inviter les juges, trouver une salle, un vétérinaire pour le contrôle, hôtel, restaurants, chercher des sponsors et des stands, gérer les inscriptions, le plan de la salle, communiquer autour de l’exposition. Mais aussi le jour J, il faut installer la salle, accueillir les exposants, gérer la buvette, les entrées sans oublier le travail difficile assuré par le secrétariat qui enregistre les diplômes en temps réel. Mais quelle expérience riche de rencontres!

I have joined the Board of the Cat Club du Grand Ouest (CCGO) for 1 year now. The CCGO is a general cat club created in 2020 and depending on the FFF (Fédération Féline Française /French Feline Federation), the FFF is the representative national and founding member of the FIFE (International Feline Federation). The objective of a cat club is in particular to organize cat shows, the opportunity to have an other perspective as organizer and not only as exhibitor. And organizing a cat show is a hard job ! Invite the judges, find the exhibition hall, vet for the control, hotel, restaurants, communicate around the show, find sponsors and stands, manage the inscriptions, the plan of the exhibition hall. But also prepare the room for the show, welcome the exhibitors, manage the entries, the refreshment bar, without forgetting the hard job done by the secretariat with the registration of all the diploma in real-time. What a rewarding experience !
